Krark-Clan Ogre forces each opponent to sacrifice a creature at the end of your turn — repeatable, unconditional, and requiring zero cards beyond itself. The problem is the cost: five mana for a 3/3 with no immediate impact the turn it enters is a bad rate in any format where speed matters.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Krark-Clan Ogre is a bulk rare in every format it's legal in, and the reason is the same everywhere: five mana for a delayed sacrifice trigger is too slow when cheaper, faster attrition tools exist. In Commander it has the narrowest case — sacrifice-matters decks helmed by aristocrats commanders can loop the end-step trigger across multiple opponents, which is genuinely more powerful in a four-player game than in any 1v1 context. In Pauper, Legacy, and Vintage, Krark-Clan Ogre never appears; the formats either move too fast or have far more efficient sacrifice engines available at common or rare.

Price Context
Current price
$0.03 bulk tier
At $0.03, Krark-Clan Ogre is deep bulk — the price of a sleeve, not a card. That floor is stable because demand is essentially zero, so don't expect it to move in either direction.
