Kor Entanglers taps down a creature for every ally that enters the battlefield under your control — in a dedicated Ally deck, that's a full board lockdown staple at five mana. The body is mediocre, but the triggered ability is the entire reason it exists, and in the right shell it earns its slot.

Commander is the only competitive home for Kor Entanglers — Ally tribal synergies need critical mass, and a 100-card singleton format with access to the full Ally roster is where that mass exists. In Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage, Ally decks are fringe at best and Kor Entanglers is too slow and too conditional to see play outside of casual tables. The card is legally available in those formats but practically absent from them.
