Kor Blademaster puts double strike on every other equipped creature you control the moment it enters — in an Equipment-heavy deck, that's a combat math problem your opponents can't easily solve. The cost is a 2/2 body with no protection, so it dies to anything and does nothing without other equipped creatures already on board.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the only format where Kor Blademaster consistently earns its slot, specifically in Equipment-tribal decks built around commanders like Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale or Akiri, Line-Slinger where multiple equipped creatures hitting simultaneously is the game plan. In Modern and Legacy it has no competitive shell — double strike matters less when Equipment synergy decks aren't a real archetype at those tables, and a 2/2 for two with no immediate protection is too fragile to see serious play. Pioneer and Vintage are in the same boat: legal but irrelevant. Stick to Commander.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Kor Blademaster is deep bulk — a throw-in at any LGS or a penny-bin pickup. Bulk rares with narrow tribal applications don't appreciate, so grab it because you need it, not because you think it'll be worth anything later.
