Kjeldoran Elite Guard card art
Kjeldoran Elite Guard pumps a target creature +2/+3 until end of turn by tapping and sacrificing itself — a one-shot combat trick stapled to a body that immediately disappears. The only context where that cost becomes an asset rather than a liability is Necrotic Ooze, which can activate the ability straight from the graveyard without ever sacrificing anything.

Kjeldoran Elite Guard is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but seeing meaningful play in exactly none of them on its own merits. In Commander it exists solely as a Necrotic Ooze target — a graveyard-enabled repeatable pump that costs nothing once the Ooze is in play. Legacy and Vintage have far more efficient combat tricks and self-sacrifice engines, so Kjeldoran Elite Guard never makes the cut outside of a dedicated Ooze shell. Pauper is the one format where its common printing makes it technically accessible, but even there the tempo loss of sacrificing a two-mana creature for a single combat pump is too steep.

No current price data is available for Kjeldoran Elite Guard, which tracks — it's a narrow combo-enabler with essentially zero demand outside of Necrotic Ooze builds. Copies tend to sit in bulk bins, so if you need one, expect to pay pennies rather than dollars.
