Kirol, Attentive First-Year is legal across every major constructed format but is firmly a Commander card — two mana for a body that needs a board and an attack step to pay off is too slow for Modern or Pioneer, where games end before the tokens matter. In Legacy and Vintage, it doesn't come close to clearing the efficiency bar. Commander is where Kirol actually functions: multiplayer tables give it the time to snowball, token synergies are abundant, and combat-trigger engines are a staple archetype. Oathbreaker is a reasonable secondary home if the signature spell enables fast attacking, but even there the card's ceiling is lower than in a 100-card singleton environment.
