Kindle deals at minimum 2 damage for two mana, but scales up fast in any deck running multiple copies of itself or its namesake copies — in the right shell, this is a four- or six-damage instant for the same cost. Outside that redundancy context, it underperforms every other two-mana red burn spell and earns a cut.

In Commander, Kindle is a niche include that pays off only when you're deliberately stacking multiple copies via Reiterate, Reverberate, or similar spell-copy effects — the more instances of Kindle that have resolved, the more damage each new one deals. In Pauper, the common-legal redundancy shell is more achievable and Kindle has seen fringe play in spell-heavy red decks that can chain copies. Legacy and Vintage have access to it but have no reason to run it over faster, unconditional burn. If you're not building around the scaling clause, Kindle is a worse Lightning Bolt in every format that matters.

unknown tier

Pricing data isn't available for Kindle at the moment, but it's a bulk common with no competitive demand — expect to find copies in the $0.25-or-less range at any local game store or large online retailer. It's worth picking up if you're building the specific shell that abuses it; otherwise there's no urgency.
