In Commander, Keen Buccaneer is only worth considering in Pirate tribal builds where the creature type does real work — think Breeches, Brazen Plunderer or Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator lines that care about attacking with Pirates. Everywhere else, a vanilla 2/2 haste for two is below rate in a 100-card format where every slot competes for impact. In Pauper, the common slot is brutally competitive and Keen Buccaneer doesn't make the cut in any established aggressive shell. Across Pioneer, Modern, and Legacy, it sees no meaningful play — red two-drops in those formats need to threaten on their own or generate card advantage.
