Unlike Oblivion Ring, there's no coming back from this; it's a symmetrical scorched-earth reset that you only run when you're built to benefit from having nothing.

In Commander, Kaervek's Spite is a niche but real weapon in decks that want to empty their own board — hellbent synergies, graveyard recursion engines, or commanders that trigger on permanents dying.
