Jodah's Avenger enters with a full suite of keyword abilities and lets you redistribute them freely until end of turn — that's immediate, on-board pressure the moment it resolves. The payoff ceiling is absurdly high, especially alongside Crackdown Construct, but you're paying six mana for a 0/0 body, so every hit to it before you untap is a total loss.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Jodah's Avenger is a Commander card through and through — the format's longer games give you the mana and the setup pieces to exploit repeated ability redistribution, and the singleton rule means the Crackdown Construct combo line is a legitimate build-around rather than a clunky one-of. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant; six mana for a fragile creature competes with nothing in those formats. Modern is theoretically accessible but the card sees zero play there for the same reason.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Jodah's Avenger is deep bulk — you're paying essentially nothing for a card with genuine combo upside. That price reflects low demand rather than low power, and it's unlikely to move unless a high-profile Commander build puts it on the map.
