Jabari's Influence lets you permanently steal a creature that dealt damage to you — no mana, no activation cost, just a triggered ability that converts your opponent's attacker into your permanent. The catch is that the creature has to actually hit you, which means you're rewarding aggression against you rather than controlling when the effect fires.

Commander is where Jabari's Influence has any real home, and even there it's a niche include — multiplayer tables mean more creatures hitting you, which at least makes the trigger fire more often. Legacy and Vintage have it legal but no competitive shell wants a slow, conditional creature-theft effect when Swords to Plowshares and Mana Drain exist. The effect is powerful in principle — permanent, unconditional creature theft — but the dependence on being attacked limits it to voltron-punisher builds or pillow-fort decks that can survive the hit to claim the prize.

Price Context
Current price
$1.15 cheap tier
At $1.15, Jabari's Influence sits in the cheap tier — low enough that the financial ask is trivial if the effect fits your build. Demand is narrow enough that this price is likely stable rather than a floor; it won't spike without a significant reprint or sudden Commander popularity.
