Irreverent Revelers trades a 2/2 body for an artifact or enchantment hit the moment it enters — no tapping, no hoops, just immediate board interaction stapled to a creature. Three mana for that package is fair in Commander, underwhelming everywhere faster.

In Commander, Irreverent Revelers slots cleanly into token and sacrifice strategies that want artifact or enchantment removal on a body they can recur or copy — the ETB does real work even if the 2/2 dies immediately. Pauper is where it gets genuinely competitive, since the common card pool makes a 3-mana destroy effect on a creature a real inclusion in decks that can blink or sacrifice it repeatedly. Modern and Pioneer have cleaner options at the same cost with no body requirement, so Irreverent Revelers barely sees play there. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for a three-mana sorcery-speed answer to matter.
