Intrepid Provisioner card art
Intrepid Provisioner enters the battlefield and immediately pumps your other Humans by +1/+1 each time one enters alongside it — a free, stackable anthem effect built into a body. The cost is a 3/3 for four mana, which is below rate in any competitive shell, so it earns its slot only when your deck is flooding the board with Humans.

In Commander, Intrepid Provisioner is a role-player in dedicated Human tribal decks — it does nothing outside that tribe, but inside it, the cumulative buff across a full board develop turn can represent three or four power added for free. Pauper is where the card has the most practical upside outside Commander, since commons-legal Human aggro lists can exploit the effect at common density without competing against pushed rares. In Modern and Pioneer, the four-mana slot is brutally contested, and Intrepid Provisioner's stats don't justify the cost against the removal density in those formats. Legacy and Vintage simply have no interest.

Price Context

Current price

$0.02 bulk tier

At $0.02, Intrepid Provisioner is deep bulk — you're buying it out of a common box, not tracking it on a price alert. Bulk commons rarely move unless a new tribal commander pushes demand, so treat this as a free pickup whenever you're building Humans, not a spec.
