Inquisitor Greyfax is a Commander card through and through — the value is cumulative over multiple turns, which is exactly what a 100-card singleton format rewards. The static vigilance buff matters most in creature-heavy go-wide builds that want to attack without tapping down their blockers, and the drain trigger stacks up meaningfully in the longer games EDH produces. Legacy and Vintage are legal formats on paper, but a five-mana do-nothing-immediately legendary has no realistic role in either — those formats end before Greyfax recoup her cost. Oathbreaker is the one exception worth noting: as a signature spell pairing or as part of a life-drain Oathbreaker shell, the drain triggers can close games faster than they can in Commander.
