Infernal Caretaker wipes every Zombie from every graveyard and returns them all to their owners' battlefields — a mass reanimation stapled to a four-mana 1/1 body. The payoff is enormous in the right shell; the cost is that it symmetrically benefits every player at the table, so you need a Zombie-heavy board or an immediate sacrifice outlet to actually cash in.

Infernal Caretaker is a Commander card through and through — the symmetrical reanimation only becomes an asset when you're running a Zombie tribal deck with enough redundancy and sacrifice synergies to exploit the trigger better than your opponents. In Pauper it's legal but sees no meaningful play; the format's low-to-the-ground nature makes a four-mana 1/1 with a conditional payoff too slow to matter. Legacy and Vintage have access to the card but would never run it — Zombies in those formats have tighter, more efficient lines. Stick to Commander if you're building around Infernal Caretaker.
