Iname, Death Aspect card art
Iname, Death Aspect enters and dumps every Spirit from your library into your graveyard — the entire engine loads at once, not one piece at a time. The eight-mana cost is real, but pairing it with Myojin of Grim Betrayal turns that full graveyard into an immediate board of resurrected Spirits, making the price tag worth paying.

Iname, Death Aspect is a Commander card through and through — the eight-mana cost and narrow Spirit tribal payoff are calibrated for a 40-life multiplayer format where setting up a single explosive turn is a viable strategy. In Legacy or Vintage it's technically legal but functionally unplayable; competitive non-rotating formats have no interest in an eight-mana do-nothing-on-its-own creature with no protection. Oathbreaker is the one alternative format where Iname could see a niche role as a signature spell target or support piece in a dedicated Spirit shell.

Price Context

Current price

$0.38 bulk tier

At $0.38, Iname, Death Aspect sits firmly in bulk — it's a narrow tribal piece with a small pool of decks that want it, so don't expect upward price pressure. It's a low-risk pickup for Spirit graveyard builds, and the foil versions occasionally attract collector interest without moving much higher.
