Commander is where Iname as One actually gets to breathe — Spirit tribal has enough support to fill a graveyard before this lands, and eight mana is reachable in a format with Sol Ring and Cultivate in every other deck. Legacy and Vintage are legal on paper, but an eight-mana creature with no immediate protective ability doesn't compete in formats where the game is often decided by turn three. Oathbreaker is legal but suffers the same problem: the format's lower starting life total and faster pace punish expensive threats that don't close the game on the spot. Stick to Commander.
