Improvised Weaponry puts a +1/+1 counter and a Equipment token onto any creature you control — two permanent upgrades stapled to one instant for two mana. It's a solid rate in go-wide or Voltron shells that want counters on the board and artifacts in the graveyard or in play.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |

In Commander, Improvised Weaponry earns its slot in artifact-matters and Equipment-focused decks where the token has downstream value — think Kaladesh energy synergies, Voltron strategies, or commanders that care about artifact count. In Pauper, the instant speed and dual-output make it a legitimate combat trick with staying power, since both the counter and the Equipment linger after the turn ends. In Modern and Pioneer it's too slow and low-impact for the formats' pace, but in those formats' casual or budget builds it can pull light double duty. Legacy and Vintage don't want it at all.

Price Context
Current price
$0.21 bulk tier
At $0.21, Improvised Weaponry is firmly bulk — the kind of card you pull from a common box rather than buy singles. Bulk Equipment and counter pieces don't tend to spike, so expect this price to hold flat.
