Impetuous Sunchaser is a 1/1 flying haste for two mana — a body that attacks immediately but leaves nothing behind when it trades with a 1/1 token. The stats don't justify the slot in any powered shell, and the effect isn't specialized enough to earn inclusion as a niche piece.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Impetuous Sunchaser is legal across every competitive format but sees essentially no play in any of them. In Commander, a 1/1 flier with haste does nothing at a table of 40-life opponents with board presence by turn three. Pauper is the most charitable environment — low-to-the-ground red aggressive decks exist there — but even that format has more efficient one- and two-drops that trade better or hit harder. In Modern and Pioneer, the card simply doesn't meet the power threshold; red aggro has access to creatures that do significantly more for the same cost.

Price Context
Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Impetuous Sunchaser is deep bulk — the kind of card that ends up in a trade binder as filler. There's no demand driver that would move this price, so it holds its floor simply because it can't go lower.
