Immortal Servitude card art
Immortal Servitude returns every creature of a chosen mana value from your graveyard to the battlefield simultaneously — not to hand, straight into play. The catch is the hybrid mana cost, which demands a serious commitment to white and black, but Athreos, God of Passage decks are built for exactly that.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Athreos, God of Passage

Athreos, God of Passage

45.7% of decks · synergy 0.43

Athreos, God of Passage runs cheap creatures specifically to exploit death triggers, and Immortal Servitude snaps back an entire wave of them at once — typically every one-drop or two-drop you've sacrificed or lost over several turns, all reconnecting with Athreos's recursion engine on the same board state.

02
Amalia Benavides Aguirre

Amalia Benavides Aguirre

11.4% of decks · synergy 0.09

Amalia Benavides Aguirre decks flood the board with low-cost creatures and lean on lifegain triggers to fuel explore loops, so Immortal Servitude at X=1 or X=2 refuels the engine after a wipe and resets the trigger chain from a single life-gain payoff.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

Immortal Servitude lives almost entirely in Commander, where graveyards fill over a full game and the payoff of returning eight creatures at once can close out a table. In Modern and Pioneer it's too slow and too narrow — a four-mana sorcery that does nothing if the graveyard isn't stocked is far behind dedicated reanimation that targets a single bomb. Legacy has the card pool to abuse it but faster ways to win, so Immortal Servitude doesn't crack those lists either. Stick to Commander, where the hybrid pip cost is manageable in Orzhov builds and the mass ETB effect is genuinely game-ending.

Price Context

Current price

$0.50 bulk tier

At $0.50, Immortal Servitude is bulk pricing for a card that ends games in the right shell. The price reflects its narrow format fit, but for Orzhov creature decks it's a deeply undercosted pickup.
