Illusion Spinners puts a repeatable aura-bounce engine on the board — each time it or an enchanted creature phases out, you get to reattach your auras wherever they're most useful. The cost is four mana for a 2/3 with no inherent protection, which means it needs a supportive shell to earn its slot.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Illusion Spinners has a real home, specifically in enchantress and Aura-voltron builds that want to reposition buff enchantments or dodge targeted removal by phasing out attached creatures. In 1v1 formats like Modern and Pioneer it's too slow and too fragile at four mana to compete with the efficiency of those formats' threat density. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a 2/3 that does nothing the turn it enters. Standard is the one place Illusion Spinners could see fringe play if a dedicated Aura synergy deck exists in the format, but the effect is niche enough that it rarely breaks through.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Illusion Spinners is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a box rather than buy. That price is stable by default; bulk rares rarely move unless a combo or format shift pushes demand, and nothing on the horizon points that way for this one.
