Igneous Golem is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but legal and playable are different things. In Commander, a 3/4 trample for six colorless mana occupies a slot that could go to a creature with an enters-the-battlefield effect, recursion, or a combo role — Igneous Golem offers none of that. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a six-mana do-nothing creature when those formats can close games by turn two. Oathbreaker shares Commander's singleton structure, and the same logic applies: the slot cost is too high for the return.
