Icequake destroys a land and leaves the opponent tapped out on basic Snow-Lands — sorcery speed, three mana, one target, done. It's a role-player for dedicated land disruption builds, not a staple.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |

| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Icequake is a niche inclusion — land destruction is politically dangerous at a four-player table, and three mana at sorcery speed rarely justifies the target it puts on your back unless the deck is built around attrition or Snow synergies. Pauper is where Icequake has the most legitimate history, slotting into black land-destruction and Snow-heavy control shells where the Snow-Land rider is actually relevant. Legacy and Vintage both have access to strictly better land removal, so Icequake doesn't see serious play in either format. Oathbreaker mirrors Commander's calculus — possible in the right shell, mostly outclassed.

$0.61 bulk tier
At $0.61, Icequake sits in bulk territory — cheap enough to throw into any Snow or land-disruption build without a second thought. It won't appreciate; this is a pick-it-up-if-you-need-it card, not one to stock.
