In Commander, Icehide Golem is strictly a snow-tribal piece — it does nothing outside that shell and does everything inside it. Legacy and Vintage both have access to it, but a vanilla 2/2 with no enters-the-battlefield effect and no evasion has never had a competitive application in those formats.
