Iceberg Cancrix card art
Iceberg Cancrix mills two cards whenever another Snow permanent enters the battlefield under your control — in a dedicated Snow deck, that trigger fires constantly and the library damage accumulates fast. The payoff is real, but it only works if you've built around Snow; outside that shell, it's a 2/2 for two with no text.

Isu the Abominable

Isu the Abominable

54.6% of decks · synergy 0.54

Isu the Abominable is a Snow-tribal engine, and Iceberg Cancrix is one of its best mill payoffs — every Snow permanent Isu incentivizes you to play triggers the Cancrix, turning a go-wide Snow gameplan into a parallel self-mill or group-mill strategy.

02

Jorn, God of Winter

31.7% of decks · synergy 0.31

Jorn, God of Winter untaps Snow permanents every combat, and decks built around him run dense Snow land and creature counts that keep Iceberg Cancrix firing throughout the game.

03
Charix, the Raging Isle

Charix, the Raging Isle

23.7% of decks · synergy 0.23

Charix, the Raging Isle is itself a Snow creature, and the Island-heavy mana base it demands naturally stacks Snow permanents — Iceberg Cancrix slots in as a cheap two-drop that mills opponents every time a Snow land hits the battlefield.

oathbreaker

In Commander, Iceberg Cancrix belongs exclusively in Snow-tribal builds where the trigger volume justifies the slot — outside that context, milling two at a time is too slow to matter against 100-card libraries. In Pauper, it has a more credible home: Snow-based blue decks can trigger it reliably and mill opponents in a 60-card format where each trigger represents more meaningful library percentage. Legacy and Vintage give Iceberg Cancrix legal status but no serious application — the payoff doesn't scale to those formats' speed or power level. Oathbreaker offers the same niche Snow-synergy ceiling as Commander without changing the calculus.

Price Context

Current price

$0.20 bulk tier

At $0.20, Iceberg Cancrix is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a card that does exactly what Snow-tribal decks need at the two-drop slot. The price is stable; demand is narrow enough that it won't spike, but Snow-tribal is a perennial casual archetype, so copies stay in circulation without disappearing.
