Hunted by The Family

Sorcery

Choose up to four target creatures you don't control. For each of them, that creature's controller faces a villainous choice — That creature becomes a 1/1 white Human creature and loses all abilities, or you create a token that's a copy of it.

Hunted by The Family card art
Hunted by The Family puts a Clue token on every opponent's creature — then punishes them for sacrificing those Clues by dealing 1 damage to each opponent per sacrifice, making the card a board-wide pressure engine stapled to a group-slug effect. The cost is real: handing opponents free card draw is dangerous unless you're converting their sacrifice triggers into damage faster than they're converting them into cards, which is exactly why Davros, Dalek Creator runs it.

Commanders with the highest synergy

01
Davros, Dalek Creator

Davros, Dalek Creator

29.1% of decks · synergy 0.28

Davros, Dalek Creator cares about opponents sacrificing artifacts, and Hunted by The Family seeds every opposing creature with a Clue — turning the entire board into a trigger factory that fuels Davros's drain-and-gain engine every time an opponent investigates.

02
Hinata, Dawn-Crowned

Hinata, Dawn-Crowned

18.8% of decks · synergy 0.18

Hinata, Dawn-Crowned reduces the cost of spells that target multiple things, and Hunted by The Family targets each opponent's creatures, so Hinata can dramatically cheapen its cast while still flooding the board with Clues.

03
Missy

Missy

16.6% of decks · synergy 0.15

Missy converts noncreature permanents opponents control into fuel, and the Clue tokens generated by Hunted by The Family hand her a ready-made pool of opponent-controlled artifacts to exploit or punish.

oathbreaker

Hunted by The Family is a Commander card through and through — its value scales directly with the number of opponents and creatures on the board, both of which max out in a four-player game. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but sees no competitive play; the effect is too slow and symmetrical to matter in a game that ends on turn one or two. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander format where it could earn a slot, since the two-player-plus structure still rewards the board-wide Clue distribution. Outside of multiplayer, skip it.

$0.33 bulk tier

At $0.33, Hunted by The Family sits firmly in bulk territory — it's an easy include with zero financial barrier. Bulk enchantments with narrow commander-specific appeal rarely appreciate, so don't hold it for value; just slot it in and move on.
