Humble the Brute destroys any creature with power 4 or greater at instant speed for two mana — one of the most efficient removal spells ever printed for Commander, where the board is packed with large threats. The investigator token stapled to it is pure upside, turning a piece of interaction into a cantrip-adjacent value play.

Commander is where Humble the Brute belongs — the format is defined by large creatures, and two-mana instant-speed removal that replaces itself is exactly what interaction slots should look like. Outside Commander, the power-4-or-greater condition is a real liability: in Modern and Legacy the format's most dangerous threats are often small (Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer; Dragon's Rage Channeler), and Humble the Brute whiffs on most of them. Pioneer has a few more beefy targets, but dedicated removal suites in that format have better options with fewer restrictions. It's legal in Vintage but irrelevant there.

Pricing data isn't available for Humble the Brute at the moment, so check current listings on TCGPlayer or Cardmarket before buying. Given its narrow competitive appeal and near-zero non-Commander demand, it almost certainly sits in bulk-rare territory and is worth picking up cheaply for any white deck that expects large creatures across the table.
