Hour of Glory exiles a creature unconditionally — no regeneration, no indestructible escape hatch — and if that creature is a God, every copy of it leaves every hand and library too. Four mana at instant speed is the real ceiling here, which is why it sits behind Doom Blade effects in most lists but ahead of them in any meta where Gods or indestructible commanders are common.

In Commander, Hour of Glory earns its slot specifically when your meta has Gods — Purphoros, God of the Forge and Erebos, God of the Dead laugh at destroy effects, and Hour of Glory doesn't care. Outside that context, four mana at instant speed is a steep ask when Path to Exile and Generous Gift exist. In Pioneer and Modern it's too slow and too narrow to see serious play — Fatal Push and Unholy Heat handle threats cheaper and more flexibly. Legacy and Vintage have access to better one-mana interaction, so Hour of Glory has no foothold there either.

$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Hour of Glory is deep bulk — you'll find copies in any common box or throw-in trade. It won't appreciate; the card's narrow enough that demand stays flat, so pick it up as a one-of for God-heavy metas and don't think twice about the price.
