Honored Knight-Captain is a Commander card in practice — Knight tribal is almost exclusively a casual EDH archetype where the mass shield-counter effect scales with a full board of creatures. In Modern and Pioneer, Knight synergy pieces exist but the effect is too slow and too conditional to compete with proactive threats; no competitive Knight shell wants a 4-mana creature whose value is entirely reactive. Standard legality doesn't change that calculus until a genuinely powerful Knight-matters payoff exists at that rarity tier. Legacy and Vintage simply have no interest.
