Hollow Scavenger // Bakery Raid card art
Hollow Scavenger // Bakery Raid is a self-contained value engine: a creature that grows by eating your graveyard, backed by a cheap adventure that stocks that graveyard while replacing itself. The cost is real — five mana for the creature is a steep ask in formats with efficient threats everywhere — but in graveyard-centric Commander shells, the payoff justifies the slot.

In Commander, Hollow Scavenger // Bakery Raid earns its place in any deck that fills the graveyard as a resource — self-mill, reanimator, and sacrifice loops all love a creature that scales with the bin and comes with a built-in setup spell. In Standard and Pioneer, five mana is a heavy rate for a creature with no immediate board impact, and it will struggle to see play outside of dedicated graveyard archetypes that can protect it long enough to matter. Modern and Legacy have efficient enough threats and hate that Hollow Scavenger // Bakery Raid is almost certainly a non-starter competitively. Pauper is where it gets interesting at common: if a graveyard-fueled aggro or midrange shell exists at that rarity level, the adventure half does real work as a cantrip that seeds the yard.

Price Context

Current price

$0.19 bulk tier

At $0.19, Hollow Scavenger // Bakery Raid is firmly bulk — pick up as many copies as you need without a second thought. Bulk rares rarely climb unless a competitive format adopts them, and this card's ceiling is casual Commander play, so don't expect the price to move.
