Highway Robber enters and drains each opponent for 2 life while padding yours — guaranteed, no conditions, no response window. The cost is a 2/2 body for four mana in a format where that rate is just bad.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Highway Robber scales directly with opponent count: at a four-player table, that's 6 life drained the moment it enters, which is real reach in a life-total-matters shell. Outside of dedicated drain synergies — Zulaport Cutthroat loops, Aristocrats engines, or an Ayara, First of Locthwain list that blinks it repeatedly — the body and rate can't justify the slot. In Pauper it's legal but competes with far more efficient black creatures and sees no play. Legacy and Vintage have the card but will never touch it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Highway Robber is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not the card. That price won't move; there's no competitive demand and reprint risk is irrelevant when it's already at floor.
