Helldozer lands as a 6/5 trampler that repeatedly demolishes nonbasic lands — one activation per attacking swing, no mana required. Six mana is a real ask, but if it connects twice, most opponents are mana-screwed and out of the game.

Commander is where Helldozer actually makes sense — multiplayer gives you multiple nonbasic-heavy targets, and a successful two-attack sequence can effectively eliminate one player's mana development. In Legacy and Vintage, it's far too slow; six mana on a creature that doesn't win immediately on resolution is unplayable in those formats, and land destruction at that cost is irrelevant when games end on turns one through three. Modern has the same problem — efficient threats and interaction make a 6/5 that needs to attack to destroy lands a non-starter. Oathbreaker is the only other format where Helldozer has any theoretical home, and even there it competes with spells that destroy lands immediately for less.
