Haughty Djinn enters as a massive flying threat whose power scales directly with the number of instant and sorcery cards in your graveyard — cast enough spells and you're swinging for five or six in the air by turn four. The cost is that it does nothing the turn it enters and demands you build around it, but Shiko and Narset, Unified decks already do exactly that.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Shiko and Narset, Unified
Shiko and Narset, Unified fuels the graveyard with instants and sorceries on both players' turns, so Haughty Djinn routinely enters as a 5/4 or larger and closes games in two attacks.

Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy // Scion of Halaster
Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy // Scion of Halaster recurs spells from the graveyard, keeping the count high and making Haughty Djinn a persistent aerial clock that grows back after a board wipe.

Melek, Reforged Researcher
Melek, Reforged Researcher rewards stacking instants and sorceries in every zone, and Haughty Djinn converts that density directly into an evasive finisher that scales with the deck's core gameplan.

Baral, Chief of Compliance
Baral, Chief of Compliance cuts spell costs and rewards a high-density instant-sorcery build, giving Haughty Djinn a naturally deep graveyard to feed off within the first few turns.

Eris, Roar of the Storm
Eris, Roar of the Storm triggers off casting noncreature spells, so the same spell-slinging that grows Haughty Djinn also puts bird tokens into play, pairing two win conditions on the same axis.

In Commander, Haughty Djinn is a legitimate aerial finisher in any mono-blue or Izzet spell-slinger deck — 100-card decks mean deep graveyards by the midgame, and a 5/6 flyer for three mana is a serious clock even in a multiplayer pod. In Modern and Pioneer, it slots into tempo-oriented blue lists as a threat that rewards the instants and sorceries you're already casting, though it competes with a crowded field of efficient blue creatures. Legacy has access to faster and more resilient threats, so Haughty Djinn rarely makes the cut there. Oathbreaker is a natural home given the format's spell-heavy construction and lower starting life totals, where a quickly-growing flyer ends games fast.
