Harmony of Nature gains you life equal to the total power of all creatures in play — in a creature-heavy board state, that number gets large fast. The cost is that it does nothing else: no damage, no cards, just life, which makes it a narrow include outside dedicated lifegain strategies.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Harmony of Nature is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it only earns a slot in Commander, where lifegain payoffs like Oloro, Ageless Ascetic or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose can convert a large life swing into something meaningful. In Legacy and Vintage the card has no home — those formats move too fast and lifegain without attached card advantage is unplayable. Oathbreaker is the one fringe case where a dedicated lifegain shell might slot it, but the same Commander logic applies: it needs a payoff or it's just a number going up.

Price Context
Current price
$2.03 cheap tier
At $2.03, Harmony of Nature sits in the cheap tier — low enough that the buy-in isn't a concern, but the real question is whether it earns a slot over free or cheaper life-gain effects. It's unlikely to climb in value given its narrow application, so treat it as a budget role-player rather than a long-term hold.
