Harmonic Convergence wipes every artifact and enchantment from the battlefield — a sweeper effect that most green-white removal spells only dream of. The cost is steep: you need three other players' cooperation to trigger it, which makes it a negotiation tool as much as a removal spell.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Harmonic Convergence has its best shot at firing, since four-player tables make the "each other player" threshold trivially easy to meet. In a typical game loaded with Sol Rings, Rhystic Studys, and Smothering Tithes, clearing the entire artifact and enchantment slate can swing the game on the spot. Legacy and Vintage are legal formats but practically irrelevant — two-player games mean you need exactly one opponent to cooperate, and no competitive player concedes a Mox to help you. Oathbreaker's two-player default creates the same problem.

Price Context
Current price
$0.33 bulk tier
At $0.33, Harmonic Convergence sits firmly in bulk territory and is unlikely to climb without a reprint spike or a high-profile Commander appearance. It's a cheap pick up if the effect fits your list — just don't expect the price to do anything interesting.
