Gutless Plunderer

In Commander, Gutless Plunderer earns its slot specifically in reanimator and sacrifice shells where a repeatable Treasure trigger compounds quickly over a long game. Outside Commander, the card is legal in every major format but sees essentially no competitive play — a 2/1 that asks to die for one mana is too slow and too conditional for Modern or Pioneer, where efficient threats and interaction raise the bar considerably. Pauper is the one non-Commander context worth a second look, but even there the payoff requires dedicated sacrifice support that rarely comes together reliably enough to justify the slot.
