Growth Curve card art
Growth Curve puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control and draws you a card — that's a meaningful board upgrade stapled to card advantage for three mana. In Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied decks, where counters are the whole engine, this is a slam-dunk inclusion.

Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied rewards every counter placed on your creatures, so Growth Curve turning a full board into a mass pump spell while replacing itself is exactly the density this commander wants.

In Commander, Growth Curve earns its slot in any deck that goes wide with creatures — the card replaces itself while growing your whole board, which is hard to argue against at three mana. Outside Commander, the competition gets stiffer: Modern and Pioneer have faster, more targeted payoffs, and Growth Curve's symmetrical ceiling depends on already having creatures in play, making it inconsistent in lower-to-the-ground formats. Legacy has better options at every point on the curve. Standard is where Growth Curve sees the most non-Commander interest, particularly in counter-based aggro shells where the card draw keeps pace with the board.

Price Context

Current price

$0.29 bulk tier

At $0.29, Growth Curve is deep bulk — easy to pick up as a throw-in or out of a bulk bin. Demand is narrow enough that the price is unlikely to move unless a counter-synergy commander breaks out and pulls it along.
