In Commander, Growth-Chamber Guardian earns a slot in any Simic or mono-green deck built around +1/+1 counters — Hamza, Guardian of Arashin and Atraxa, Praetors' Voice lists both want the recursive draw it provides. In Modern, it sees fringe play in Hardened Scales shells where counter doubling makes the tutor chain trivial to assemble.
