Groundshaker Sliver gives every Sliver you control trample, which turns a wide board of small creatures into a lethal combat threat that can't simply be chump-blocked away. Seven mana is a steep ask for a static anthem effect, but in a Sliver deck that's already going wide, it closes games that would otherwise stall.

Commander is the natural home for Groundshaker Sliver — seven mana is manageable over a longer game, and a Sliver tribal deck that floods the board gets immediate payoff from blanket trample. In Pauper, Slivers are a real deck but run lean and fast at common cost, so a seven-mana top-end rarely fits the curve. Legacy and Vintage Sliver strategies are too streamlined and threat-dense to justify it. Modern Slivers want to close games quickly with lords that cost two or three mana, and Groundshaker sits too far up the curve to compete. Stick to Commander, where the tribal payoff is biggest and the mana is there to support it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.34 bulk tier
At $0.34, Groundshaker Sliver sits firmly in bulk territory — it's an easy include if you're already ordering singles for a Sliver build without any real financial friction. Bulk tribal pieces at this price point rarely spike unless the tribe breaks into a competitive format, which Slivers at seven mana are not positioned to do.
