Gremlin Tamer

Gremlin Tamer is a bulk common in competitive formats — five mana is too slow for Legacy or Modern, where artifact removal needs to cost one or two and hit the same turn a threat resolves. In Standard and Pioneer it's a serviceable sideboard option if the meta demands artifact hate on a body, but it will rarely make the main. Commander is the right home: five mana is acceptable for a creature that replaces itself through ETB synergies, and the artifact destruction is relevant often enough that decks caring about enters-the-battlefield value — or those that need redundant removal stapled to creatures — have a legitimate reason to run it.
