Greater Werewolf taxes every blocker your opponents throw in front of it, shaving two toughness off anything that survives combat — a passive drain that punishes chump-blocking and discourages trades. The cost is six mana for a 4/4 with no evasion, which means it often gets answered before the attrition ever accumulates.

In Commander, Greater Werewolf occupies the bottom rung of werewolf tribal — the day/night mechanic from more recent sets obsoletes it, and six mana for a vanilla-statted creature with a slow attrition effect doesn't compete at a 100-card table. In Pauper it's legal but unplayed; the format moves too fast for a six-drop that needs to survive a combat step to do anything. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters. The only home where Greater Werewolf sees any genuine use is low-power Commander, specifically mono-black or Gruul werewolf tribal lists chasing flavor over function.

$0.25 bulk tier
At $0.25, Greater Werewolf is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. It won't appreciate; tribal chase pieces from the same archetype consistently outpace it in demand.
