Gravity Negator gives a creature flying until end of turn by tapping and spending an energy counter — useful evasion, but gated behind a resource you have to build around. Outside of dedicated energy shells, the effect is too conditional and too narrow to justify a roster slot.

Gravity Negator is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but sees meaningful play in almost none of them. In Commander, it only earns a slot in energy-focused builds where you're already generating counters in bulk — think Atraxa or Shorikai shells that double-dip on energy synergies. In Pauper it's at the right rarity but competes with evasion that doesn't require a secondary resource.
