Granulate destroys all artifacts — no exceptions, no targeting, just a clean sweep — for three mana at sorcery speed. It's a budget Vandalblast for when you need the board cleared and don't care about your own artifacts.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Granulate fills the same role as Vandalblast's overloaded mode but costs one less mana and hits your own stuff too — run it when your deck has no artifacts worth protecting. In Legacy and Vintage, artifact hate is a sideboard question, and Granulate competes against Pulverize, By Force, and Shattering Spree, all of which offer more flexibility; it rarely makes the cut. Modern artifact hate has cheaper and more surgical options, so Granulate is fringe at best outside budget builds.

At $0.28, Granulate is firmly bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a board-sweeping effect. That price is stable; there's no pressure point to push it higher.
