Gorehorn Raider

In Commander, Gorehorn Raider fits red-green or Gruul aggro builds that want to keep applying pressure and refuel simultaneously — it's a reasonable role-player in decks like Xenagos, God of Revels or Grenzo, Havoc Raiser that are already incentivizing attacks. Outside Commander, Gorehorn Raider doesn't clear the bar in competitive 60-card formats: four mana for a creature that draws cards only on successful combat damage is too slow for Modern and too vulnerable for Legacy, where interaction is cheaper and faster. In Standard and Pioneer, it can slot into aggressive red or Gruul lists as a mid-curve threat, but it's typically outclassed by cards with more immediate or unconditional impact at the same cost. Pauper is where its commons status might carve a niche in creature-heavy beatdown shells, though the format's efficient removal keeps it honest.
