Goblin Tomb Raider enters with haste and swings immediately, and in any deck running a healthy artifact count it stays a 3/2 rather than a vanilla 2/2. The floor is acceptable; the ceiling — consistent 3/2 haste for two mana — is genuinely good.

In Commander, Goblin Tomb Raider slots cleanly into Goblin tribal and artifact-heavy red builds, where hitting the artifact threshold is trivial and a two-mana 3/2 with haste is real pressure. Pauper is where it competes hardest for a slot — the format's artifact synergy decks and Goblin shells both want it, and the common card pool makes a 3/2 haste for two a meaningful rate. In Modern and Pioneer it's too fair; aggressive red decks have access to stronger two-drops and won't bother. Standard is the one environment where the rate is good enough to see fringe play if artifact density supports it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.25 bulk tier
At $0.25, Goblin Tomb Raider is firmly bulk — you're paying for cardboard and postage, not the card. Bulk commons with niche tribal and artifact applications don't spike, so expect this price to stay flat indefinitely.
