Glorifier of Suffering turns every counter placed on any permanent into a free loot — draw a card, discard a card — which adds up fast in a format built around +1/+1 counters, poison, and proliferate. The ask is four mana for a 3/3, which is acceptable given that a single trigger recoups the investment.

Commander is where Glorifier of Suffering earns its slot — the format's obsession with counters means you're drawing cards off your opponents' Saga chapters, your own proliferate triggers, and every infect or charge counter that hits the table. In 1v1 formats like Modern and Pioneer, the card is too slow and too conditional: four mana for a looting engine only fires when counters are already being distributed, and dedicated counter decks there have faster, more reliable draw engines. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a 3/3 for four that doesn't immediately impact the board. Pauper is the one non-Commander format worth a second glance if a dedicated counters shell ever materializes, but it hasn't.

$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Glorifier of Suffering is deep bulk — you're picking it up in a trade binder or rounding out a card order. Bulk mythics and rares with narrow synergy profiles tend to stay in this range unless a high-profile Commander deck pushes demand, so don't expect appreciation.
