Glaze Fiend swings as a 5/4 flier the turn you drop an artifact, which is the entire ask in any deck that floods the board with them. Two mana for that ceiling is the deal — the floor, a vanilla 1/2 with flying, is unplayable without support.

Commander is where Glaze Fiend actually functions — artifact-heavy builds under commanders like Breya, Etherium Shaper or Dalakos, Crafter of Wonders drop enough artifacts per turn to make it a consistent threat. In Pauper it sits in artifact storm shells where the pump triggers chain together, though it competes with more reliable threats at the same slot. Legacy and Vintage have it available but the power bar is so high that a conditional 5/4 doesn't register. It's a commons-only role-player: real in the right Commander shell, invisible everywhere else.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
Glaze Fiend is deep bulk at $0.10 — buy a playset and lose them in your box without noticing. At this price it holds no monetary value, but it also costs you nothing to test, which is the only framing that matters for a card this cheap.
