Glacial Stalker is a 6/5 with flash for six mana — a reasonable body, but flash on a vanilla creature does almost no work in Commander where the table resets constantly. The cost is too high for what amounts to a surprise blocker with no enters-the-battlefield effect, no evasion, and no text.

Glacial Stalker is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Pauper, Oathbreaker, and Vintage, but that breadth is misleading. In Pauper it's at least competing in a lower-power environment where a 6/5 flash body has more raw relevance, though even there it's fringe. In every other format, the card is simply outclassed — Modern and Legacy have no interest in a six-mana creature that does nothing beyond exist, and Commander demands either a powerful ETB, a combo role, or a format-warping stat line before that kind of investment is justified. Glacial Stalker clears none of those bars.
