Ghoulcaller's Harvest

Sorcery

Create X 2/2 black Zombie creature tokens with decayed, where X is half the number of creature cards in your graveyard, rounded up. (A creature with decayed can't block. When it attacks, sacrifice it at end of combat.)
Flashback {3}{B}{G} (You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.)

Ghoulcaller's Harvest card art
Ghoulcaller's Harvest dumps a token for every creature card in your graveyard — at sorcery speed and for five mana, but the ceiling is absurdly high in any deck that mills itself. If you're filling your graveyard anyway, this converts that setup into a board in one card.

Format Analysis

Ghoulcaller's Harvest is a Commander card front to back — the format's self-mill subculture, 100-card graveyard density, and multiplayer attrition create exactly the conditions where its payoff scales to game-winning. In competitive 1v1 formats like Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's too slow and too setup-dependent; dedicated graveyard decks in those formats want to win on the stack or at instant speed, not tap out on turn five for a token swarm. Vintage has the raw power to enable it, but again, the format rarely wants a five-mana sorcery when it can loop faster.

Price Context

Current price

$0.28 bulk tier

At $0.28, Ghoulcaller's Harvest is bulk — pick it up without thinking. The price reflects its narrow home, not its ceiling; inside the right Commander deck it vastly overperforms its cost, and there's no reason it climbs higher given the supply.
