Gaze of Justice exiles a tapped creature for three mana and the tap of three white creatures you control — a conditional removal spell with a steep crew cost that most decks can't reliably meet. Unless you're running a token-dense white strategy, this doesn't make the cut.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Gaze of Justice is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but sees virtually no competitive play in any of them. In Commander, the three-tap requirement is a real barrier — you're spending three attackers' combat step to answer one creature, and at sorcery speed. Pauper is the one format where white weenie token shells could theoretically meet the crew cost, but cheaper unconditional removal exists at common. Everywhere else, Gaze of Justice is strictly outclassed.

Price Context
Current price
$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Gaze of Justice is deep bulk — the price reflects demand, which is close to zero. There's no reason to expect this to appreciate; it's not a casual staple, not a combo piece, and not scarce.
