Gaea's Will card art
Gaea's Will lets you recast every spell in your graveyard for free — that's a full refund on your entire game's worth of interaction, ramp, and threats in a single turn. The suspend cost means you're waiting three turns to cash in, but the payoff is so disproportionate that any green deck with a graveyard plan should be running it.

In Commander, Gaea's Will is at its best — a three-turn countdown is cheap when the game routinely goes eight or more turns, and a full graveyard replay in a multiplayer game generates value no single-target card can match. In Legacy, the suspend cost is a serious liability; the format is too fast for a three-turn setup, and Yawgmoth's Will exists as the instant-speed version that just wins on the spot. Modern is in a similar position — the card is legal but rarely seen, squeezed out by faster graveyard payoffs that don't ask you to wait. Vintage is where Gaea's Will has theoretical ceiling given the density of broken spells per deck, but again, Yawgmoth's Will does the same thing without the delay and is unrestricted. Commander is the correct home.
